Wow, what a long trip it's been. We are glad that we took a one day rest in Paris on the way here. Gus did amazing on the flights; no problems to speak on on the first flight to Paris and only a couple minor tantrums on the flight yesterday to Nairobi. The biggest challenge to speak of so far is the sleep disruption and time differences. Yesterday I think we woke up around 4am and had to "play" with Gus until the hotel breakfast began at 6am. We were their first customers. Today, well, if you check the time of this blog post as we are 11 hours ahead of Pacific Daylight Time and I've been up for a couple hours. So, yes, Gus woke up around 2:30 am, after sleeping for over four hours. This followed probably a four hour nap on the plane. So, we are trying to keep a two year old from waking everyone up in the Mayfield Guest House, here in Nairobi. I am down the hall in the computer room and I just heard a "daddy". Better go check on my lovely family. I wonder how early we can run a bath here without it being too loud? So, as I am pulled away from trying to type a simple message, I am thinking that this is the pace of my life now: keeping up with a two year old. I can hear him again talking about his "Diego" videos. got to go.
